    • DAY 18 — What Do You Wish Had/Hadn’t Happened?
I’d never be one to complain about the show or say they should have done this, etc. because I loved what we got. Two things I think could have worked awesome for the show had they panned out - not because I think they would have made the series better and not because what they did instead was bad, I just think it would have been interesting to see the direction they went. #1.) Lana goes to Paris at the end of s3 and doesn’t come back. I love Kristin. I have no problems with Lana. But I felt s1-3 were really her purpose and anything past that was just trying to make the character work in a world that was getting too big for her. I never minded Lana in the later seasons but it would have been interesting to see the dynamic had she not been in the series from season 4 onward. With Lana gone, the witch storyline doesn’t pan out really and makes way for idea #2.) Dr. Swann is Jor-El. There were plans. I don’t think they were great plans or well thought out ones but…Jor-El somehow came to Earth and was injured upon landing and creates the identity of Virgil Swann. This plays into Veritas happening nearly 4 seasons earlier (the ‘Seers’ as they were going to be called) and a whole lot of other crap that didn’t work out with Reeve passing away and never appearing in season four. Not saying I’d have rather it happened or it should have happened, but it would have been interesting to see how they made that work.
